Case Synopsis

Our client suffered serious facial injuries after being attacked by a half-pit bull owned by another tenant at an extended stay hotel.

The main legal challenge was not proving that the dog bite occurred, it was establishing that the hotel itself was liable for the attack even though it did not own the animal.

Using extensive legal research, deposition testimony, and case law, Insider Accident Lawyers successfully demonstrated that the hotel could still be held liable for failing to maintain a reasonably safe environment for guests despite the dog belonging to a tenant.

The matter had previously been handled by another law firm, which had sought a significantly lower settlement. After taking over representation, we substantially increased the value of the claim and achieved a much stronger resolution for our client.

Result: Through proving that the hotel was liable for failing to maintain a safe environment, we secured a $362,000 settlement for our client: a significant improvement over the amount that had been pursued before Insider Accident Lawyers’ involvement.
